HSSM’s spends $65 for every surgery we perform. As you can see in the above chart, this means regardless of where you fall in our fee schedule, HSSM’s fees do not cover our costs. Grant funding allows us to take some of the financial burden off of you as a community member and make spay/neuter affordable for everyone! Grantors are very specific about how their funds are spent, meaning many grant-funded programs are restricted to a particular area.
We are committed to ending the needless euthanasia of companion animals and spay/neuter is the only way we will ever achieve this dream! Please consider donating to HSSM’s SNIP Fund to help provide low-cost spay/neuter to all South Mississippi pet owners!
*Must bring proof that you reside in Harrison County and you are receiving government assistance through EBT, WIC, Medicaid, SS Disability, Public Housing, etc. to receive the $10 fee.
**Outdoor cats MUST be eartipped at time of surgery to qualify for FREE services. Click here for more information on HSSM’s Trap-Neuter-Return program for Community (Outdoor) Cats!
